Sarah Jones Cheerleader and 'Female Sandusky' Accusation: 'He Was Not My Student'

A former Bengals cheerleader and high school teacher has been named the female Jerry Sandusky after accusations that she had sex with a 17-year-old boy.

Sarah Jones, one-time captain of the Cincinnati Ben-Gals cheerleading squad, is now facing sexual abuse charges after she was accused of sleeping with one of her 17-year-old students. A former teacher at Dixie Heights High School, the 26-year-old also faces charges for using electronic means to seduce a minor.

A gag order was requested by prosecutors following an interview with Jones which aired Monday on ABC, but Jones has responded by arguing that it would be "unfair" for her to not be able to defend herself in the face of allegations- accusations which she states are completely untrue.

"People don't know the real me. There's blogs and postings out there that I have slept with numerous people. I married my high school sweetheart," Jones said on ABC. "I just asked the general public to maybe hold their judgment a little bit longer until the truth comes out."

Rumors about the young teacher have abounded on the internet, some even making harsh comparisons between Jones and Sandusky, who has been convicted as a serial child molester.

"I read on a blog that I was the female (Jerry) Sandusky. To read those things and not be able to comment, not be able to stick up for myself is not fair," Jones said.

Meanwhile Jones' lawyer, Eric Deters, has filed a motion to dismiss all charges due to a lack of evidence.

"They have no evidence that sexual relations of any type took place in any of the 50 United States of America," Deters told ABC News station WCPO.

Jones and her mother, Cheryl, have both been tied up in the scandal. Cheryl Jones, a middle school principal, faces charges for tampering with evidence in her daughter's case. The accusations were made last year, during which time both women have gained dozens of supporters including the family of the alleged victim who has not been named.

"I think people are taking this whole student-teacher thing … Yes, he was a student but he was not my student," Jones said. "He was a family friend and I am very close to his parents. Had it not been for their support it would be very difficult to get through this without them."
