Selena Gomez Talks Being Pressured to Be Sexy

Selena Gomez, the 21-year-old singer, is giving her music peers a lesson on what it means to be classy.

During a recent tour stop, the singer and actress revealed that she gets pressured to be more "sexy" behind the scenes. But while her competitors like Miley Cyrus appears nude and performs provocatively, Gomez insists that she will take another route on her musical journey.

"I get it all day, every day, that I'm not sexy enough" Gomez told fans at a concert on her "Stars Dance" tour, according to ABC News. "Let me tell you one thing: the sexiest thing, I think, actually, I know, is class and that's it."

While Cyrus is good friends with Gomez' ex-boyfriend of two years, Justin Bieber, the latter has revealed how much the relationship helped her grow.

"I was 18 when we started to date. I don't know. You just have to be an 18-year-old and go through everything," she said during an E! special hosted by Ryan Seacrest earlier this year. "I learned that I should definitely be way more private next time."

Gomez admitted that dating an entertainer is far from easy.

"It's hard to just date in this industry," Gomez told Seacrest. "You can't really help who you date."

After breaking their romantic union at the beginning of the year, Gomez spoke about how that affected her.

"I'm sure you could actually see those pictures of me being, like, way stressed out about it," she said in the E! special. "And it's hard, because what do you do? Do you just wanna sit in your house and hide and not go anywhere?"

Still, Gomez insisted on feeling good being single.

"I'm okay with being content right now," Gomez told Seacrest. "I think that's what I'm happy with."
