Steven Curtis Chapman Announces 'The Glorious Unfolding' 2014 Spring Tour With Josh Wilson and The Afters

Christian singer-songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman finished up his highly successful "The Glorious Unfolding Tour," along with Laura Story and Jason Gray and is now ready to announce his spring tour.

Chapman was touring in support of his latest album, The Glorious Unfolding, and sold out 17 shows on the coast-to-coast run. Chapman will launch the 2014 edition of "The Glorious Unfolding Tour" in February featuring Josh Wilson and The Afters as touring mates.

"Steven is a timeless professional with an incredible heart on and off stage. 'The Glorious Unfolding Tour' was one of the best tours of the year," said Mike Alley, Director of 48Live Productions, in a press release.

"'The Glorious Unfolding Tour' fall leg has been an incredible experience! I'm so grateful for Laura, Jason, my band and crew and everyone who came out to see us," said Steven Curtis Chapman in a release. "I'm so honored to still be getting to do this and I look forward to hitting the road again for the spring run with my great friends in February."

Chapman's biggest single off the new album is "Love Take Me Over." The track has been steadily climbing up the charts and reached no. 4 on the Billboard Christian Songs chart and no. 3 on the Christian AC Indicator and Christian AC Monitored charts. The song was estimated to have been listened to by nearly 8 million as it was added by 43 radio stations its first week.

On new album, The Glorious Unfolding, Chapman told The Christian Post it's the album where he got his smile back. People have told him the "joy and celebration" is back in his voice.

"I shut everything down creatively and musically to slowly see what's going to come from this. Am I ever going to feel like I can write another song," he said, speaking upon a family tragedy he had to overcome before fully immersing himself back in music.

The over 20-year veteran of music will be making an appearance on CBN's 700 Club on Dec.13 and popular talk show Fox & Friends on Dec. 15 to perform some of his most loved holiday hits and new songs from The Glorious Unfolding.

Chapman has 16 studio albums, and 20 total in his career. He has sold more than 11 million albums, has two platinum records, seven gold, 47 no. 1 Christian radio hits, five Grammy Awards, and just won his 58th Dove Award.
