Taylor Swift Working on 'Experimental' New Album: 'Boyfriend-Bashing' on the Way?

Taylor Swift is now working on her new album, and the singer said new material is coming to her rapidly as she thought of a completely different approach to her music. Although she claims she'll move forward with a new "experimental" stage in her sound, some are wondering whether the rumored practice of including her exes in her songs will continue.

Taylor Swift's new sound is a departure from "Red," her last album that sold 3.7 million copies domestically and 6 million copies internationally. On that album, critics praised her for departing from old styles, and she plans to do the same thing with her latest album.

"I think that the idea of having a different approach to every single one of my albums is so exciting to me. I never want to make the same record twice. Why do it? What's the point?" she told Rolling Stone magazine. "It's so overwhelming that when you're starting a project there are such endless possibilities if you're willing to evolve and experiment. If you're willing to become a different version of yourself, you can really go anywhere with it. And that's kind of where I am. The kind of the laboratory experimental stage of really catching onto a new thing that I'm liking."

So much new inspiration is hitting the 23-year-old songstress that she said she's constantly editing, rewriting, and rethinking her approach.

"The floodgates just opened the last couple weeks," she continued. "I'm getting to that point where I'm irritating to be around because I'll be with you for half the conversation and then the second half of the conversation I'm clearly editing the second verse of whatever I'm writing in my head."

Some, though, believe the pervasive rumors about Swift that many of her songs deal with her ex-boyfriends.

"Every single one of her songs is about dating and breaking up with guys," forestlaw wrote on the MSN blog.

"Her songs are about bashing (bullying) her many boyfriends," another user agreed.

Although Swift has continually denied that her alleged flings are fodder for her music, the gossip is so widespread that it is now on clothing. Abercrombie & Fitch was pressured into removing a t-shirt that read "#more boyfriends than t.s.," and another store, Bad Kids Clothing, decided to make an even more direct item.

The clothier makes a shirt saying "Jonas & Till & Lautner & Mayer & Gyllenhaal & Redmayne & Efron & Kennedy & Styles." Swift fans pressured Bad Kids Clothing to discontinue the shirt, but the owner Lex Houser refused.

"Well GUESS WHAT Swifties? Your heads are about to explode...because we're officially putting these babies on sale!" she wrote. "This shirt shall be named 'The Doherty' after the man who requested it be made, and it's going on sale right about...MEOW!"

Swift has not yet mentioned a possible release date for her next album.
