Bishop T.D. Jakes, the founding pastor of the 30,000-member The Potter's House megachurch in Dallas, Texas, is making a weekly program based on his latest book as well as a daily talk show for national syndication in 2015 or 2016.

Jakes' weekly program will be based on his book, Instinct: The Power to Unleash Your Inborn Drive, and his daily talk show is also being developed, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Both shows will be produced through his TDJ Enterprises, a for-profit company, and its partners 44 Blue Productions and Enlight Entertainment. The shows will be targeted for national syndication in 2015 or 2016.

"As a communicator, I could not be more excited about this collaboration which allows our brand to extend its presence onto the small screen," Jakes was quoted as saying.

Jakes added that the objective behind the shows is to "tell the untold stories of empowerment and inspiration, that I'm known for, to wider, more diverse audiences."

"We think that viewers are hungry for the opportunity to learn from his insights," said Stephanie Drachkovitch, co-owner of 44 Blue Productions. "His unique voice and universal message will motivate and entertain."

In the weekly show, Jakes will tell stories about people who have brought about change or made a difference by using their gifts and resources.

"For years people from all walks of life have found both healing and motivation from T.D. Jakes' message," Rasha Drachkovitch, president of 44 Blue Productions, said.

In his book, Jakes outlines how to re-discover natural aptitudes and re-claim the wisdom of past experiences. "When attuned to divinely inspired instincts, you will become in sync with the opportunities life presents and discover a fresh abundance of resources," says the book description. "Knowing when to close a deal, when to take a risk, and when to listen to your heart will become possible when you're in touch with the instincts that God gave you."

About listening to one's instincts, Jakes told The Christian Post in an interview earlier this year, "One of the processes that is most helpful is to start to notice those things that you do that you're passionate about that spark your creativity, those things that you get energy from when you do them and you find fulfilment in doing, not in getting paid for it but simply in doing it."

Jakes added: "Those things that we do that put us in that kind of environment are our natural, most organic habitat that make us most effective in our careers, entrepreneurial pursuits, our friendships and lives. So many people don't do that. We spend so much time doing what we have to do and not enough time doing what we were created to do."

Jakes started preaching in 1980 at a storefront church in West Virginia with just a handful of members, but now he leads a megachurch with four campuses.

In addition to his ministry work, Jakes is known for his best-selling books, box office productions and his humanitarian efforts.
