'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim' Patch Arriving After Thanksgiving (VIDEOS)

A downloadable patch for "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" will head to console and PC gamers after Thanksgiving.

Several PlayStation 3 owners of the game reported significant frame rate drops after save files reached 6 MB. The game’s developer, Bethesda, opened its forums to owners of the game and allowed them to take a poll. This poll asked several questions regarding the issues plaguing PS3 owners of Skyrim.

Bethesda's Vice President of Marketing Pete Hines spoke on the apparent PS3 bugs for Skyrim: "Most users aren't experiencing these kind of issues on PS3. We are investigating the issue further as to why some folks are seeing this."

Some Xbox 360 and PC owners were experiencing random technical hiccups, as well.

Through his Twitter account, Hines provided patch information for the game on all consoles.

"PS3 & 360 updates have been submitted for certification. PC coming too. Current estimate is [the patches] will be live the week after [Thanksgiving]," tweeted Hines.

"Patches/updates take a little time. We can't turn it around quite that fast. It's been three days. Calm down. We're working on it," Hines also tweeted.
