'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim' Release Date: Valve Steam Pre-Download Available (VIDEO)
PC owners can pre-download "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" through Valve's Steam video game download service.
This option is only available to PC owners who have previously pre-ordered the game.
Once the download is finished, users will have to wait until Nov. 11 to play the game, since this is the official release date. Once midnight hits, gamers will have access to the video game.

The install size of the game is 6 GB.
Bethesda’s "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" will also release on the PS3 and Xbox 360, and it will offer gamers less frequent and more worthwhile additional content after being released.
The new DLC will not come immediately after the game is released, though.
In an interview with Wired.com, the game's director, Todd Howard, noted Skyrim would feature a never-ending stream of downloadable content.
"The vibe of the game is that it’s something that you can play forever," said Howard.
Howard also spoke on the game's downloadable content plans: "We're not going to be doing a lot of it. Our high-level thinking is that there [will] be not as many [pieces of DLC], but they'll be bigger and more substantial. The goal overall is not necessarily to put out more content, but to make the game better."
"Very quick DLC might sell well, but that's not our priority,” Howard added.
Skyrim's world will feature secrets and minor bits of narrative are reminiscent of Bethesda's "Fallout 3."
"With Fallout, it’s not as beautiful a world to everybody," Howard said. "We had to find ways to make exploration of [a destroyed wasteland] interesting."
Australian Magazine Atomic reviewed and awarded the game with a high score of 95 percent.
