Tim Tebow Embarks on National Speaking Tour to Include Fellowship of Christian Athletes' Event
Tim Tebow may no longer be impacting people on the football field, but he's keeping busy by taking on public speaking engagements that enable him to connect with his fans.
Tebow, the 27-year-old former Heisman Trophy winner-turned-football analyst, is gearing up to speak at an event for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes on April 14. The athlete, now an ESPN college football analyst, will visit Rapid City, South Dakota, as a special guest for the South Dakota Fellowship of Christian Athletes Night of Champions.
Bob Parsons, West River FCA director, spoke about having Tebow attend the event in a Rapid City Journal report.

"We embrace him. He's a role model," Parsons said. "We're all about influence and impact and that's what we're hoping from this event as Tim comes to Rapid City."
The West River Fellowship of Christian Athletes director spoke about Tebow being there for more than just entertainment, but to influence people spiritually.
"It's about outreach, it's about impacting and influencing people for Christ," Parsons said. "That's the heartbeat of FCA that this is an outreach event, it's not just entertainment."
That event takes place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Barnett Arena. Tebow is embarking on a speaking tour beginning with Lake Charles. Louisiana, on April 10; Knoxville, Tennessee, on April 12; and Sioux Falls on April 13, before Rapid City and Sheridan, Wyoming, for an outreach event on April 15, and will conclude the tour in Grand Island, Nebraska, on April 16.
Tebow has been vocal about creating a humanitarian legacy and spoke to People magazine about his goal last year.
"I hope that when I'm 90 years old, I've accomplished a legacy that isn't all about me. I hope it's a legacy about the people who our foundation helps," Tebow previously told People magazine. "We're about to open a hospital in the Philippines. We'll have this hospital where we can help kids who are hurting; healing them physically, but encouraging them emotionally and spiritually as well."
