Tim Tebow Explains Fourth Quarter 'Magic'

Commentators called Tim Tebow magical after his fourth quarter touchdown clinched a win against the New York Jets on Thursday, and the second year NFL QB admitted that supernatural forces were at work on the field.

Tebow attributed his belief in God and his teammates for the team’s ability to pull out a win.

“First and foremost I just want to thank my lord and savior, Jesus Christ, and thank my teammates for believing in me and believing in each other for 60 minutes,” Tebow said after the win, before describing his last minute game-changing touchdown in the fourth.

“I just believed that the tackle and the tight end were going to get the block, and that I could try to hopefully outrun him to the edge, and thank the Lord I was able to do so,” he added.

After few plays in the first 54 minutes of the game, Tebow time turned on when the second year QB won the game with a 95-yard drive that resulted in a touchdown. The commentator for the game seemed amazed at the last minute clutch play.

"There’s something magical about this kid," the commentator said after watching Tebow advance his team to a win.

The second year QB didn’t seem to acknowledge himself as the ultimate factor in the team’s win, expressing gratitude to his team instead.

“I think, referring to that last drive, I think it was just a bunch of guys that kept fighting that had been knocked down a bunch of times but continued to get back up,” Tebow said in New York Times report. “I’m just so proud of those guys, for their resiliency, their patience and their determination.”

John Fox, Denver Broncos’ coach, said his team had the same faith in Tebow.

“On the sideline it felt like we knew something was going to happen. People always say that when you win but we felt like something was going to happen, probably because of the way we have been finishing games over the last couple weeks,” Fox said. “Again, #15 [QB Tim Tebow] proved to be very impressive on that drive.”
