Jamie Walden, an active duty member of the U.S. Air Force, posted a video on YouTube asking Tebow to be her date to the 2012 Military Ball in Shreveport, La.

"I would be the luckiest and happiest girl if you were to say yes and be my date," the 20-year-old says with a huge smile.

In the video, several of Walden's friends and colleagues urge the openly Christian athlete to "say yes" to her invitation. Walden's mother, Patty, even comes on board to convince Tebow to accept the invitation. "Just say yes," she says in the video.

Tebow has already received several invitations to events this year from his vast reservoir of fans, and athlete currently has a standing invitation for a Christian sorority formal taking place in April in Texas.

The good-hearted football star has yet to publicly respond to Walden's request, but is keeping himself busy during the off-season by making a difference in children's lives.

On Monday, Tebow paid a visit to a Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club to talk to children about his career, his childhood diagnosis with dyslexia, and of course – his relationship status.

"I would get words rearranged in my head and wouldn't say them right," he shared with the children as he emphasized the need to read and learn communication skills.

When asked by the children about his dating life, the football star was candid.

"No, me and Katy Perry don't have a thing, but she's a very good artist," the quarterback said during the question-and-answer session.

"I'm single, but I'm doing just find though," he said adding that he would be spending Valentine's Day with friends and family.
