Tupac Shakur Performs in Hologram Form at Coachella 2012 (VIDEO)
Deceased rapper and actor Tupac Shakur made his return to the stage at Coachella 2012 in the form of a hologram performing alongside ex-label mates Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
The outdoor festival hosted various acts in the music world from all different genres, but no one performance stood out as much as Shakur's hologram performing some of his hits including "Hail Mary" and "2 of Amerikas Most Wanted" with Snoop Dogg.
Nate Dogg was originally expected to appear as a hologram at Coachella, however those plans were changed as former label mates and friends Kurupt and Warren G came out to pay tribute to the late singer during a rendition of one of his hit collaborations with Snoop Dogg: "Ain't No Fun."

During Shakur's performance, the background on the stage went black as the rapper appeared and greeted Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and the crowd in attendance.
The intro sounded like it was pre-recorded by someone whose voice sounded similar to Shakur's while the hologram sang along with the album versions of both songs. He was joined on stage by Snoop Dogg for "2 of Amerikas Most Wanted."
The hologram disappeared at the end of the set after a huge white light appeared in back of the rapper.
Shakur died on Sept. 13, 1996 after suffering multiple gunshot wounds during a shooting that took place on the Las Vegas Strip on Sept. 7.
He is largely regarded as one— if not the— greatest hip hop artists of all time and has sold over 75 million records worldwide.
The rapper released six LPs while alive, and over five albums have been released since his death in 1996.
Tupac Shakur was signed to Death Row Records in 1995 where he worked together with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg on various records.
He also had a successful career as an actor starring in films with Janet Jackson and Jim Belushi in "Gang Related" and "Poetic Justice."
