Twilight's Robert Pattinson to Record an Album?

After US Weekly reported that “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson would record an album before his newest blockbuster release, the actor’s people have had something to say about the rumors.

On Tuesday, US Weekly reported that Pattinson , 25, would release an album where he would be playing guitar and singing original music.

“Rob has been kicking a few original songs around for a long time, but his schedule didn’t allow it,” a source told US. “Now he’s got some weeks to get everything in line before going back to promoting ‘Breaking Dawn’.”

According to US Weekly, Pattinson’s newest release will not have a pop focus and sound like Ray LaMontagne mixed with Van Morrison.

“The album Rob will make will be guitar-based and drums, very organic-sounding nothing pop,” a second source told the magazine, according to US Weekly.

The news doesn’t come as a surprise to some, who are familiar with the British “Twilight” star’s songs on the movie soundtrack. Pattinson previously recorded “Let Me Sign” and “Never Think” for the movie.

Jackson Rathborne, Pattinson’s “Twilight” co-star, said the two have had music sessions in the past with one another.

“He can hold his own on a guitar. We enjoyed jamming together when we had the time,” Rathbone said, according to The Long Island Press.

The Winnipeg Free Press reported that Pattinson admitted his love for music in the past.

“I love the piano,” Pattinson said, according to the publication. “I never really had any aspirations to be an actor when I was young.”

Despite his love for music, Pattinson’s representatives reached out to MTV to quell the rumor.

"The report is untrue,” Pattinson’s people said. “He is not working on an album right now."

Although he is not working on a solo album, the director of “Breaking Dawn”, the newest installment of “Twilight,” said fans may hear their favorite actor’s voice on the soundtrack. However, some things are still being worked out.

"We're just figuring out [the soundtrack] now," Condon told MTV. "We have a lot of [songs]. We have like 15, I think."
