Usher Stalker Hospitalized, Claims to Be Artist's Wife (VIDEO)

A woman accused of stalking Usher Raymond outside of his Georgia home was taken to a mental health facility last week, after claiming that the R&B artist was her husband.

Darshelle Jones-Rakestraw was taken to a mental health hospital after prison guards claimed she was not in a good mental condition, according to TMZ.

Rakestraw paid a visit to Usher's residence last weekend and banged on the doors before she was asked to leave. Although the girl left, she returned the next day and sat on the music artist's front steps while using her iPad.

Usher spotted the girl on a security surveillance camera prompting the artist to call police. When police arrived Rakestraw claimed that she was Usher's wife and had simply forgotten her keys to get into the house.

Rakestraw was placed under arrest for criminal trespassing. According to TMZ the girl was in such a "bizarre mental state" that the jailers refused to admit her and police were forced to take the girl to a mental institution.

Rakestraw was released shortly after her mental evaluation. Usher has since obtained a temporary restraining order citing that he was "placed in reasonable fear for his own safety and/or the safety of his immediate family." The artist will attempt to obtain a permanent restraining order a month from now, when Rakestraw is due in court.

Rakestraw released a YouTube video following the incident, insisting that she was not a stalker. In the video the girl claims that she and Usher had shared finances through Western Union and Bank of America. She considered herself an "advocate" of the R&B artist who she claims complained to her of ankle pains, headaches and child custody battles.

"He has officially slandered me and defamed my character," Rakeshaw charged. "I am in love with Mr. Raymond but I do not appreciate the fact that he has tried to trash me with stalking."
