Usher's Stepson Brain Dead: Family Faithful That 'God's in Control'
Kile Glover, 11-year-old son of Tameka Foster who is going through a divorce with singer Usher Raymond, may have been declared brain dead after a recent accident involving water activities but the child's family is leaning on God and prayer to save him.
Glover was injured in an inner tube accident that took place in on Georgia's Lake Lanier Friday, when a man on a watercraft reportedly ran over him and a 15-year-old girl. Although the family did not disclose details about Foster's son, several media outlets have reported that he is suffering from brain damage after being in critical condition following the accident.
The boy's family released a statement to CNN on Tuesday, saying that they are remaining faithful in God.

"We know God's in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time," the family said in the statement. "We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it's the best way we can all support him now."
While Foster is the biological mother of Glover, the 11-year-old's father is television executive Ryan Glover. However, R&B star Usher also served as a stepfather to the boy and is reportedly broken up about the accident despite his pending divorce from Foster.
"Tameka and Usher don't get along, but in this circumstance Usher is coming to her side," a Us Weekly source said. "Usher practically raised Kile as his own. He's known him for seven years. It is so sad what happened."
Another source told the publication how much the singer had grown close to the young boy.
"He grew close to Kile and, of course, that has nothing to do with the situation with Tameka," the source reportedly said. "He loved Kile. This is a terrible, awful tragedy. Usher is torn up."
While Usher will not be in attendance at the 2012 ESPY Awards Wednesday night due to the tragedy, an investigation has been launched to uncover details surrounding the accident.
