Kim Kardashian had a different reaction from her soon to be ex-husband, Kris Humphries when the topic of name changes was presented. Kim’s mother, Kris, told Popeater.com that her daughter should not take the name of Humphries when she was about to be married.

"I don’t think she should take his name and be Kim Humphries,” Kris told the website. “She needs to be Kim Kardashian because she’s worked so hard to get where she is.”

Although Kardashian never changed the name that has spawned various branding opportunities, she was also divorced after 72 days of marriage. Demi Moore, another recent entertainer filing for divorce, ended her marriage with Ashton Kutcher after six years.

The actress never changed her last name to match that of her soon to be ex-husband, but she did manage to change her Twitter name to “@MrsKutcher.”

While many celebrity women may maintain their brand by keeping their maiden names, others seem to look to Twitter to validate their unions. Actress Eva Longoria kept her maiden name when appearing in the credits on her television show “Desperate Housewives.”

Although she added the last name Parker to her Twitter account, Longoria divorced her NBA playing husband Tony after three years of marriage. Even though Minnillo expressed excitement about legally changing her last name, she had no problem writing the dreams for her family on Twitter to seemingly solidify the bond.

“Host by day, Wifey by night, Wanna-be Mommy all the time," the bio reads.
