WWE Survivor Series 2013 Results: Did The Authority Interfere in Championship Match?

Last night was the WWE's annual Survivor Series, and the Authority managed to control things from behind the scenes. At the end of the night, a new threat was posed to the WWE Champion from an unlikely source. Read on for all of the details.

The highlight of the night was the match between The Big Show and Champion Randy Orton. The Authority, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, and wrestler Kane, previously promised not to physically interfere in the match and made it seem as though Orton would be completely on his own for the match, without the protection of the Shield or anyone else. Big Show managed to knock out Orton, but in a surprise, McMahon and Kane showed up at the top of the walkway, playing Triple H's music and distracting Big Show long enough for Orton to deliver a blow and pin him for the win.

However, John Cena quickly rushed out and, in a standoff with Orton, raised his own Heavyweight belt in an act of defiance and perhaps a challenge to the Champion. Will these two continue to spar, resulting in a double-title match? Only time will tell.

In another high-profile match, the tag team of Daniel Bryan and CM Punk managed to defeat Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. It brought a sense of revenge and justice to Bryan and Punk, who had been attacked and taunted for several weeks by members of the Wyatt Family. Bryan and Punk could set their sights on tag team gold after the win.

New Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston managed to retain his title in a revenge match against Curtis Axel, who previously held the title. In another match, the world's strongest man, Mark Henry, defeated Ryback and it was the old-school WWE Divas who managed to defeat Divas Champion AJ Lee and her teammates.

Finally, in the Survivor Series Elimination Team Match, the Shield and the Real Americans managed to defeat Rey Mysterio, WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust, and the Usos. Roman Reigns was the sole victor after delivering the final blow to the other last man standing, Rey Mysterio, who just returned last week.
