Xbox 720 Release Date: System to be Released Around Easter Time

Microsoft might decide to release its new Xbox 720 console around Easter time next year, according to onlinesocialmedia.net.

The reason for this would be because Nintendo is expected to drop its new Wii U console around that time so it would be a great chance for Microsoft to throw its bid in for video game supremacy.

Sony may also be launching the PlayStation 4 around that time, according to the site.

This prediction seems highly unlikely since Wii U will not be nearly as advanced as the PS4 or Xbox 720, so it will need to get a head start if Nintendo plans to stake its claim in the next generation of console gaming.

Wii U’s technology, aside from its motion controls is just catching up to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 which were released in 2005 and 2006.

In order to raise the bar, it will take a lot more time for Microsoft and Sony to produce a brand new console worth shelling out loads of cash for.

After all, the life span on the PS3 and 360 has been longer than any other generation’s systems excluding the original Nintendo.

According to a report issued this week from tomsguide.com, employees at Microsoft are already working on the development of the Xbox 720.

But this information does not prove that the system will be released anytime soon.

An ad for the Xbox 720 was spotted in the trailer for the new “Real Steel” movie starring Hugh Jackman.

This Xbox 720 appears in a future scenario meaning that it is not actually being advertised, but is probably there to start a buzz and assist in making an authentic futuristic storyline.

The Xbox 360 is still churning out critically acclaimed exclusives such as Gears of War 3 which dropped last month.

It seems the 360 still has plenty of time left before it needs to be replaced.
