The Grammy Awards made a spelling mistake during its "In Memoriam" tribute for the late Cory Monteith on Sunday night.

Monteith's name was misspelled during the tribute, with the "e" and the "i" reversed. Viewers immediately noticed the error and took to Twitter to express their anger.

"Dear Recording Academy, it's 2014 & no one has spell check? His name is Cory MONTEITH!!! Fire the fact check clerk!" one fan tweeted.

Monteith died in a hotel room in Vancouver, British Colombia on July 13 from a fatal combination of heroin and alcohol.

The actor, who played Finn Hudson alongside Lea Michele on the popular TV series, was reportedly found dead alone in his hotel room by staff at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia.

"I don't think it could go much farther without continuing to talk about how that hurts," Paris Barclay, the director of the episode, told Us Weekly Saturday. "There is so much feeling there and it affected the Glee family in such a profound way, and you can expect it to be dealt with in the 100th episode."

Producers decided to delay the fifth-season premiere of Glee last year in light of the actor's passing and producers of the show say they are planning another tribute for the upcoming 100th episode. Co-creator Ryan Murphy told said the plan is to pay tribute to Monteith after his character was killed of the show following his death.

"When we do the tribute episode to that character, we'll have to do it in a way where the cast members will not have to re-create feelings of grief that they've had this week -- but do it in an upbeat way. If we can do this responsibly and help young people through these feelings, that's the best that we can hope for." Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter.
