'Dancing With The Stars' Season 18 Week 8 Recap: Who Makes the Semi-Finals? (SPOILERS)

Last night was host to week eight of ABC hit reality competition show "Dancing with the Stars" This episode saw strict but fair judgment, which sent one contestant home.

Guest judge Abby Lee Miller lived up to her reputation as a tough-to-please dance instructor. She is familiar with dance competition reality shows as she hosts her own show, "Dance Moms," on Lifetime. On her show she expects perfection, and her expectations were no different on "Dancing With The Stars." She said she was looking for, "Straight legs, pointed feet, perfect musicality, inspiration, emotional changes, pretty much everything."

Derek Hough and partner Amy Purdy earned an impressive score of 79, even winning over Abby Lee Miller. This is particularly impressive considering that Amy is coming off an injury that sent her to the hospital. However she showed no signs of faltering or letting her injury affect her. She and her partner earned a high score.

Danica McKellar is also suffering from an injury, a broken rib. She and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy only managed to earn a score of 72.

Candace Cameron Bure and her partner Mark Ballas earned a score of 74. James Maslow and partner Peta Murgatroyd danced a Vinennese waltz and received a 75. And coming in at the bottom were Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy with a low score of 70.

But in the end, it was Danica McKellar who was sent home. She was a good sport in her departure.

"It's been absolutely amazing. I've had the best time ever. And I didn't want to see any of them eliminated so I guess it worked out," she said on the show last night.

Next week's episode of "Dancing With The Stars" will be the semi finals! Tune into to ABC next Monday at 9 p.m. EST to find out who will move on to the finals.
