Famke Janssen Break-In Leaves Star Rattled After Perp Leaves Copy of 'The Lonely Doll' Next to Bed
Famke Janssen suffers break-in at her apartment in New York City and the creepy perpetrator left a copy of the book "The Lonely Doll" without taking anything.
"The Wolverine" star contacted police after returning to her Greenwich Village penthouse Saturday evening and found a copy of the 1957 book that had been placed on a shelf next to where she sleeps.
"She walked into her bedroom and noticed a children's book standing on the shelf beside her bed," a law enforcement source told the New York Post.

The Dutch actress Janssen, 47, lives alone and is the only person with access to her apartment and told police that she did not notice anything that was out of place or stolen aside from the book.
Detectives found no sign of forced entry and investigators are reviewing surveillance footage in an attempt to capture a glimpse of the person responsible for breaking in to the apartment.
The actress told police that she thinks the person responsible gained access to her penthouse sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday while she was running errands, according to the New York Post.
The book that was left in the apartment is about a lonely doll named Edith who meets two bear friends who promise to never, ever leave her.
In 2005, Janssen filed a police report accusing a fanatic of aggravated harassment after he reportedly sent her letters and photos after being asked repeatedly to cease all correspondence with the actress. Given the prior circumstance police are investigating whether the two incidents could be related.
Janssen is known for her past roles in "Taken," "X-Men," the Netflix series "Hemlock Grove" and "Rounder's."
