Most Charitable Star is Taylor Swift: Singer Impressed With Acts of Kindness in 2013
A list created by the website dosomething.org noted the most charitable stars of 2013 and placed singer Taylor Swift at the top of the list.
While swift has done any number of charitable acts in the past year it was her donation to the struggling Nashville Symphony to the tune of $100,000. Swift also performed at a charity event hosted by Centrepoint, an organization which benefits the homeless.
Swift also met with a 7-year-old fan that was hit by a car on the way to one of her concerts while also taking the time on Christmas day to speak with a father who is fighting cancer.

But perhaps the most noteworthy act Swift performed this year was talking with a young girl who is battling a very rare form of cancer and whose doctors say her time on this Earth is coming to a close.
Eight-year-old Delaney Brown, from West Reading, Penn., was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia in May and was recently told that her condition deteriorated further.
Delaney suffers from acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with monosomy 7, which health experts reveal affects only about 10 children a year, making it one of the rarest forms of childhood cancer known.
Delaney was able to talk to her favorite singer, Taylor Swift, through video chat in a meeting that was setup by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Swift, who grew up in the neighboring town of Wyomissing, surprised Delaney with the call and left a huge smile on the young girls face.
"Laney was so nervous to talk to her because she is such a 'famous celebrity,'" Brown wrote on Facebook. "I was actually worried that when Taylor Facetimed her that she would be to scared to talk but Taylor was fabulous!! She really engaged Laney in conversation. Laney lit up and had a huge smile on her face. I can't thank Taylor enough."
