Paul Walker Death: Actors Passing Leads to Huge Rewrite, Says Kurt Russell

With the sudden and tragic passing of actor Paul Walker producers and writers had to come up with a plan of how to deal with the absence of one of the main characters.

One of the actors cast to play Walker's on-screen father, Kurt Russell, recently revealed that most of the movie is having to be rewritten.

"They're having to rewrite, they're having to do whatever they're having to do to deal with the situation," Russell said, according to BBC. "It's catastrophic. It's the worst thing that could happen to a movie," the veteran actor added before qualifying, "but it's not as bad as what happened to Paul."

"So everything is in perspective," Russell added. "He was a terrific guy. And life is full of curveballs. It's just a situation that they'll work out and, at that time, I'll go back to work."

Russell is thought to have only a few days left of shooting and does not know if he will have to redo those scenes.

"I don't know what is going to happen with that. It's obviously a difficult situation."

The "Fast & Furious" star and his friend Roger Rodas were killed when the Porsche Carrera GT they were traveling in crashed and caught fire.

An autopsy report formally identified Walker, 40, as the passenger, and Rodas, 38, as the driver. The report, which listed the incident as an accident, stated that Rodas died of "multiple traumatic injuries" and Walker of "combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries."

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department insisted that speed was a factor in the one-car crash in the community of Valencia.

Walker was on a break from filming the seventh film in the series and Universal Pictures announced shortly after the actor's passing that it was shutting down production on the latest sequel.
