San Francisco Giants vs Kansas City Royals Live Stream: Watch Online MLB World Series 2014 Game 5 (Fox TV Start Time, Preview)
The San Francisco Giants will host the Kansas City Royals for the third time in as many days on Sunday in Game 5 of the 2014 World Series. This series has been everything MLB fans had hoped for, and the back and forth continued in Game 4 as it was the Giants turn to storm back into the series with a comprehensive victory. Today's game will start at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the Fox network or online through live stream (details below).
The Giants looked to have their backs against the wall coming into Game 4. They had allowed the Royals to come back into the series to level things in Game 2, and then as the series came back to San Francisco, they allowed the Royals to gain the lead 2-1 in Game 3.
They knew that a loss in Game 4 would put them on the brink, but the Giants ensured that the series would continue to swing back and forth between the teams and likely go all the way to a Game 7, as they won by an emphatic 11-4 on Saturday night.
The game was won over a three inning stretch across the bottom of the fifth to the bottom of the seventh, as the Giants piled on 9 runs in the three innings. The Royals had no answer, and that ensured that we come into Game 5 tonight with things still deadlocked between these two amazingly evenly matched teams.
The scoreline doesn't do the game justice though, as for much of Game 4 it looked like the Royals would be taking a 3-1 lead.
After falling 0-1 behind in the first inning, the Royals set the game on fire in the third, when they scored four, to take a 4-1 lead.
The Giants were able to immediately pull one back at the bottom of the third, and things remained at 4-2 to the Royals until a dramatic two run bottom of the fifth for the Giants to square things up at 4-4.
The sixth and the seventh innings then saw the Giants steamroller the Royals and pull away for an eventual comfortable victory.
The Royals need not be too disheartened though, and they will want to dust themselves off and get back up right away again to try and claim a third win of the series on Sunday night, so they can take a 3-2 lead back to Kansas City where this World Series will be determined.
