Beyonce Scared To Let Mother Hear Music: 'She's Going To Be Really Mad At Me'

Beyonce may have a chart topping self-titled album for the third week in a row, but she is revealing that she was afraid to let her husband and mother hear some songs on the project.

Beyonce, the 32-year-old singer, recently opened up about her album making process in an informational video for her album called "'Self-Titled' Part 4 Liberation." In the video, the singer explained the process for creating her album and expressing a sexuality and Bravado in the song "Partition" that made her nervous to present to her husband, rap mogul Shawn "Jay Z" Carter, and mother Tina Knowles.

"I was so embarrassed after I recorded the song because I'm just talking (expletive). And I'm like I can't play this for my husband," Beyonce said in her information video. "And I still haven't played it for my mom. She's going to be really mad at me."

Still, she defended some of the overtly sexual content featured in her songs and videos.

"I wanted to show that you can have a child and you can work hard and get your body back. I know finding my sensuality and getting back into my body, being proud of growing up…it was important that I expressed that in this music because I know there's so many women that feel the same thing after they give birth," Beyonce said in the video. "I don't at all have any shame about being sexual. And I'm not embarrassed about it and I don't feel like I have to protect that side of me because I do believe that sexuality is a power that we all have."

The singer recently released a visual album with 17 videos and 14 songs, but she revealed that she recorded 80 songs for the project. Still, she previously admitted that she was nervous to release her album without any previous promotion or advertising.

"I was terrified. I was so scared. I already envisioned like the worst things that could happen," Beyonce said at the School of Visual Arts in New York screening for her new music videos. "I was really nervous because this was a huge risk."
