Galaxy Note 2 Competitor to Be Unveiled by LG at CES
LG is expected to unveil a Galaxy Note 2 competitor at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
This device will be a 5.5-inch phablet smartphone that is the same size as the wildly popular Samsung device.
There is a possibility that the phablet could be the rumored Optimus G2. This device is supposed to become LG's flagship smartphone for 2013 and will help the company steal some of the market share away from Samsung, who is currently the only player in town when it comes to devices like the Note 2.

LG is also expected to unveil a new 7-inch tablet at CES. This device will come with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution with a 324 pixel density. This will make it one of the most reader friendly 7-inch tablets on the market and will be a competitor for the Google Nexus 7, Kindle Fire HD, and Nook HD.
Huawei is also expected to release a Galaxy Note 2 competitor this year with its Ascend Mate tablet.
Photos of the upcoming Huawei Ascend Mate tablet leaked onto the internet this week. The device will feature a 6.1-inch 1080p display and the pictures reveal even more about its appearance.
The resolution is crystal clear in the images, and it has a miniUSB port at the bottom, with an SD card slot and headphone jack at the top.
Rumored specifications for the Huawei Ascend include a 1.8GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, and a 4000mAh battery. The thickness of the device is rumored to be around 9.9mm.
The company also released an ad that is thought to be for the tablet. The ad compares this Huawei device to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2's 5.5-inch screen. This makes sense as a 6.1-inch screen would give Huawei's device a significant advantage over its Korean competitor.
