Galaxy Note 2 Specs: Phablet to Feature Same HD Soundcard as Galaxy S3

The Galaxy Note 2 specs are sure to be more impressive than many of the smartphones and tablets currently available in the market.

The new hybrid device is expected to feature the same audio output quality as the Samsung Galaxy S3. The smartphone's audio was developed by Wolfson and is known as WM1811 Audio Hub.

WM1811 Audio Hub delivers crystal clear voice quality and enhanced audio playback. It also does not eat up all of the battery's juice, making it energy efficient. By employing this sound technology, Samsung might end up putting out the finest multimedia device in the market.

Samsung also just released the source code for the upcoming Galaxy Note 2 smartphone-tablet hybrid.

The device still has not been released by Samsung in many areas throughout the world including the U.S., yet the company has made the source code available for the GT-N7100 variant.

The code allows developers to design and build custom ROMs for the phone-tablet. It can be found by typing that model number into the following link opensource.samsung.com.

The Galaxy Note 2 will be released the U.S. in the coming months, according to AT&T.

The carrier issued a press released last week confirming that it will offer the smartphone-tablet hybrid and that it will be available in the very near future.

"Arriving later this year running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), Galaxy Note 2 with 4G LTE combines the productivity of a tablet with the convenience of a smartphone and the S Pen features you need to unleash your creativity," wrote AT&T.

The carrier went on to explain the device as a powerful handset gadget that possesses PC-like processing power and advanced features such as Popup Video, new Gallery views and "great gaming performance" in a truly pocketable device.

AT&T also announced several other devices in the press release including the Samsung Galaxy Express, Galaxy Rugby Pro and the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. All four of these devices will run on the carrier's 4G LTE network.
