Jionni LaValle to Marry Snooki: 'He Isn't the Typical Gorilla'

It has recently been rumored that Snooki is not only pregnant but also engaged. The former Jersey Shore reality star was seen wearing a ring presumably given to her by long-term boyfriend Jionni LaValle. Her new fiancée, however, may not be what many expected.

Jionni LaValle could perhaps be an unlikely match for Snooki, who has been accused in the past of being an attention seeker. According to Wet Paint, LaVelle isn't the attention seeking type.

"He doesn't give a [expletive] about [the celebrity world]," Snooki told Wet Paint. "She loves that their relationship is private," the site added.

Privacy may in fact be desirable for Snooki after her ex, Jeff Miranda, proposed to her in 2010 on a magazine cover. That won't be happening this time around, however. LaValle is so serious about his privacy that he has even locked his Facebook for friends only.

LaValle is also not a self-proclaimed "juicehead" which may come as a disappointment for some.

"She wasn't sure about him at first and kept asking her friends what they thought of him. She was hesitant because he isn't the typical gorilla," a friend of Snooki said. The term "gorilla" refers to Snooki's preference of large-muscled men.

LaValle has instead dedicated his time to studying in an effort to become a teacher.

"Like his two older brothers, Jionni is studying to get his teaching degree," Wet Paint reported.

LaValle isn't a complete stranger to "The Jersey Shore" cast however. He appeared on the show in season three after Vinny, one of the cast members, had attempted to take a girl name Gina to the house. The girl was rescued by her family mob, one of whom was LaValle.

A few episodes later he had united with Snooki and the couple has been together ever since.
