Jonathan Taylor Thomas: Former Teen Idol Turns 30
America's favorite family from "Home Improvement" has reunited just in time for the 30th birthday of former teen heartthrob Jonathan Taylor Thomas.
Thomas played Randy Taylor on the show, the middle child of his on-screen parents, Tim Allen and Patricia Richardson, from 1991-1998.
The actor and model was popular among teenagers, often appearing on BOP and Tiger Beat posters, as well as in an ad for Burger King.

The "Home Improvement" cast reunited for a photo shoot that is to appear in an upcoming issue in Us Weekly. Thomas can be seen alongside his parents on the sitcom as well as cast members Zachary Ty Bryan, Taran Noah, and Richard Karn.
Actress and on-screen mother to Thomas, Richardson posted an update about the former teen idol on her Twitter account this week: "Jonathan is acting, and he wants to direct!"
After filling television guest roles on "Smallville" and "8 Simple Rules," the actor has not appeared on camera since 2005.
Born Jonathan Taylor Weiss, the actor attended Harvard University from 2000-2002, and graduated from Columbia University in 2010.
A fellow classmate from Columbia told People magazine that Thomas "loved to talk." The insider added, "He’d say really intelligent things."
In 2000 after portraying a homosexual character, Thomas spoke with gay-lesbian magazine The Advocate as well as talk show host Jay Leno denying rumors about his own sexuality.
"In Hollywood, you're not anyone until it's rumored that you're gay, so you know, I wasn't that upset about it," said Thomas.
"And not that there's anything wrong with that [homosexuality], but no, they're rumors, and you should always be careful with that internet [sic] stuff," continued Thomas, referring to the gossip found online.
ABC's "Home Improvement" can still be viewed on television stations like TBS and Nick at Nite.
