Kim Kardashian Divorce: Kim Sues Ex Publicist for 'Staged' Marriage Accusations

Kim Kardashian is fighting against the wave of attacks and accusations she has received since filing for divorce after 72 days of marriage, and the celebrity is also suing her former publicist who claimed the engagement was a sham.

She demanded a minimum of $200,000 in damages from Jonathan Jaxson, who recently appeared on “Good Day L.A” and revealed he helped stage a number of Kardashian’s previous headline-making events between 2007 and 2009. He also claimed her marriage to Kris Humphries was most likely a publicity stunt to get extra media exposure, and that she never really wanted to marry the NBA star.

"It was obvious that it was staged. There were contracts already in place for E! to film it. Everything was written down," he said.

The reality show star, however, is denying Jaxson's claims, and wrote in a blog last month that she “married for love.”

Besides suing Jaxson for false accusations, Kardashian also claimed she and the publicist only worked together once for a single project. She is charging her Jaxson for breaching a confidentiality agreement and for trying to exploit her situation for his own gain to garner attention for his autobiography book.

Jaxson denied the charges, claiming that while he has such an agreement in his possession, either side has not signed it, and therefore he is not obliged to follow it.

He also addressed the accusations on his blog on Sunday, according to NY Daily News.

"To the best of my knowledge, I have never signed an agreement dealing with confidentiality with Kim Kardashian. I have an agreement in my possession that does not have either parties signature on it," Jaxson wrote.
