Kim Kardashian Releases Name of Wedding Dress Designer

Although avid tweeter Kim Kardashian has been less than vocal about her August 20 wedding details, the reality television star and model told her fans that fashion designer Vera Wang will create the dress for her big day.

Kardashian was spotted at the New York-based designer’s boutique in June, but did not share any details about her visit. However, Kim used her blog as a platform to release some information concerning her wedding dress.

“Vera has been a close family friend for a long time and we had talked about this moment for years,” Kardashian wrote on Monday. “When it came to picking my wedding dress designer she was the first person I thought of. No one designs gowns the way she does!”

The reality star also wrote that she is confident in the designer’s ability to meet her standards. Wang seemed equally enthusiastic about working with Kardashian on the dress for her wedding day.

“You will be a stunning bride, love you!" Wang tweeted to Kardashian on Monday.

The designer previously worked on Kim's younger sister, Khloe’s wedding dress when she married NBA player Lamar Odom in 2009.

Although Kim did not speak publicly about her actual dress design, some have already weighed in on what it could look like. According to People magazine, Michael Kors advised Kim to stick with a “sleek, sexy and simple” look, while Kim’s publicist friend Jonathan Cheban told the magazine that the soon-to-be bride should wear an “over the top” look.

No matter which look the designer creates for Kim on her big day, the model has expressed her excitement for being able to wear a Vera Wang original down the aisle.

“I know that Vera can make my dream come true and create the most perfect gown for my special day,” Kardashian said.
