Miley Cyrus Blasts Engagement Rumors

Miley Cyrus has denied reports that she is engaged to boyfriend Liam Hemsworth after rumors mounted this week.

The 19-year-old actress flaunted not only her manicured nails but a large ring worn on her left finger in photos over the weekend. The display of the ring sparked rumors that "The Hunger Games" star Hemsworth popped the question.

"I'm not engaged," Cyrus posted on Twitter Monday. "I've worn this same ring on this finger since November! People just wanna find something to [talk] about! It's a topaz people!"

While topazes are normally colored reddish-orange, yellow, or blue, true forms of the gemstone are clear- as is Cyrus's.

"I'm soooo obsessed with @Jennahipp nail foundations," Cyrus posted on the micro blogging site along with a photo of the ring. She then continued to wear the ring throughout the weekend without responding to the rumors, which set the internet ablaze.

Hemsworth, 22, and Cyrus have been in an on-and-off again relationship for three years. They met on the set of "The Last Song" in 2009, and despite a breakup after a few months, reconciled less than a year later.

The couple is careful to keep many details of their relationship out of the public eye, but Hemsworth recently revealed that he did not let his actress girlfriend see "The Hunger Games" early.

Shortly before the film's March 23 release, Hemsworth explained to MTV News that Cyrus has not seen the film.

"She wanted to come the other day, but I didn't allow anyone to come in the other day," said the Australian actor.

Hemsworth was perhaps nervous about his performance in the highly anticipated film, and preferred that Cyrus see the film after the hoopla was over.

"She can see it now, added Hemsworth at the time."She's excited about it too."

"The Hunger Games" went on to break box office records after its opening weekend, having earned $155 million in North America- the third-largest opening weekend of all time.
