Will Samsung Galaxy S2 Release be Crushed by an iPhone 5 Laser Keyboard?

The Samsung Galaxy S2 and other high powered smartphones may enjoy a short period of success if the new laser keyboard feature in this iPhone 5 video (below) created by Aatma Studios is actually implemented when the device is released.

The video was posted up to YouTube at the end of August and shows the rumored thinner, large screen version of the iPhone 5 demonstrating some proposed new features, including a holographic video display and laser keyboard.

The user places the iPhone 5 on a table and pulls out a keyboard which seems to be created by a laser on the side of the device and proceeds to type on it. The user is also able to enlarge or shrink the keyboard by pinch zoom.

The video also demonstrates a holographic display feature which allows the user to use the device to create a holographic screen which hovers above the iPhone to watch video on.

The holographic screen appears large in the video and could possibly be used for watching movies and television shows on-the-go more conveniently, if the feature ever actually comes to life.

The video made YouTube’s BuzzFeed section and currently has almost 20,000,000 views.

A laser keyboard and holographic display should make the iPhone 5 have virtually no competition in the “war of the smartphones.”

So far, no real information has been confirmed at all by Apple regarding the iPhone 5.

It is rumored to be thinner with a larger screen and to include an 8 megapixel camera capable of shooting 1080p high definition video.

It will be released in early October with pre-orders beginning by the end of this month, according to the latest rumors.

Samsung plans to challenge Apple’s device with its high powered Galaxy S2, but if the iPhone 5 has a laser keyboard, the device may start to not only completely dominate the smartphone market, but break into the PC/iMac area as well.
