X-Box Music 'The New Spotify' Coming to Microsoft Next Week
Microsoft announced Xbox Music will be released next week and will aim to be the new Spotify.
According to Engadget the service is called music.xbox.com and will be launching with a completely new layout online. It was previously available for Xbox 360, Windows 8, RT, and Windows Phone 8 as just a feature on the device.
The Verge reports the website will be similar to how Spotify operates with playlist options and an array of music at the users disposal.

Xbox Music is not the only change Microsoft is bring to their gaming system, recently they overhauled their stance on the future of the Xbox One.
Initially the console would require constant Internet access and would only be playable without an Internet connection for 24 hours-- after that, the user will get locked out.
"After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360," XBox released on their site.
Another thing Xbox One was going to do was give the game developer the power to stop customers from buying used games.
The move made sense for developers and Microsoft, as both of them do not make profit off of used game sales.
Games were to be set up so that they can only be played by one or two users, as the game will register to their XBox. That means sharing games would not be possible unless a permanent switch is made.
Now, however, this policy has changed as well.
"There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360," they wrote on their site.
