Detroit Lions N'Sync Dance Celebrates Touchdown

Detroit Lions' player Joseph Fauria made waves during Sunday's game when he celebrated a touchdown with dance moves taken from N'Sync members.

Making his NFL debut in the game against the Washington Redskins on Sept. 22, the undrafted rookie tight end set himself apart with the unique dance.

For his second career touchdown during Sunday's match, Fauria took a page out of the N'Sync's playbook with a quickstep and iconic arm motion, according to The Detroit Free Press.

The move was identical to that found in the music video for N'Sync's hit song " target="_blank">"Bye Bye Bye."

The NFL player's homage to N'Sync occurred just weeks after the boy band reunited onstage for the first time in 11 years at MTV's Video Music Awards.

In August, rumors about the reunion created uproar on social media sites with fans flooding outlets expressing excitement and high hopes.

Then, living up to fans' hopes, N'Sync members Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick briefly reunited onstage at the VMA's in order to celebrate Timberlake's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

However, the quintet only performed a quick, condensed version of "Bye Bye Bye," and reports later indicated that band members were "upset."

"They were pushing for more," said an insider, according to Us Weekly. "While [Timberlake] was thrilled they could come for him, he didn't want the reunion to be the whole thing."

Furthermore, Timberlake's band mates originally thought older N'Sync hits, such as "Tearin' Up My Heart" or "It's Gonna Be Me," were on the set list.

"They originally were told that it was going to be more of their old hits, not just 'Bye Bye Bye,' but then Justin reworked it," the source added.

Meanwhile, the boy band rose to fame in 1998 with hits such as "I Want You Back" and "It's Tearin' Up My Heart," among many others, and went on to sell millions of album copies around the world.
