Kim Kardashian Forced to Cut 50 Guests From Wedding List

With Kim Kardashian’s wedding to the New Jersey Nets’ Kris Humphries fast approaching on Saturday, the reality star has been forced to make a few last minute changes.

After already sending out invitations, Kardashian has been asked to cut 50 guests from her wedding list. A source close to Kardashian told Life & Style magazine that her initial guest list, in addition to the film crew and equipment recording the nuptials for her reality show may cause a fire hazard.

"The fire marshal got involved," a friend of Kardashian’s told Life & Style. "Once the fire department learned about all the TV equipment that's going to be inside the space -- the lights, the cameras and the production crew -- Kim was told she had to cut the guest list by 50 people!"

Kardashian has had to make calls to disinvite some of her friends, according to the source. Last week, TMZ reported that Kardashian’s extensive guest list of 500 included high-profile celebrities like Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Jada Pinkett-Smith and her husband Will.

Although the Kardashian crew has been tight-lipped about many of the details and it is uncertain which 50 people will be cut from the 500, The Huffington Post reported that guests have already been given instructions.

Kathy Lee Gifford, one of the original 500 invited to the wedding, revealed that guests were mandated to wear black or white attire, according to The Huffington Post. Aside from the dress code, Gifford said that all those in attendance would be forced to enter through metal detectors and asked to submit their mobile phones for the duration of the ceremony.

With the last minute changes and publicity surrounding the wedding, those closest to the bride- to-be say she seems to be handling it all with ease. Rebecca Friedman, Kim’s hairstylist for the big day, says the star does not seem fazed by the process.

"Kim's definitely a calm bride," Friedman told Life & Style. "She's just really, really excited."
