The ninth week of Trump's second presidency brought additional actions from President Donald Trump and his administration designed to advance domestic political priorities.

Executive orders and investigations launched this week seek to combat illegal immigration, protect parental rights and eliminate what the administration calls “corrosive” ideology from institutions operated by the federal government. 

Here are five developments that unfolded over the past week.
