Demi Moore to 'Punish' Kutcher in $290 Million Divorce

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore’s divorce is already difficult for the two Hollywood stars, but now it seems Moore is determined to punish former husband by seizing some of his vast fortune.

Although the super couple split, it is surprising that Moore, 49, would set her sights on Kutcher’s assets: not only does the actress have a sizeable fortune of her own, but she insisted on an airtight prenuptial agreement before getting married.

A source spoke to Daily Mail about the pair’s rocky divorce, and revealed Moore’s intentions: “[Moore] wants to punish [Kutcher] financially because of the way he has broken her heart. She is talking about going after a share of what he has earned since their marriage because she contributed to much of what he has achieved.”

It is currently unknown if, and exactly how much, Moore contributed to the “Punk’d” star’s wealth, but clearly both of them are doing very well.

Kutcher, 33, earns almost $800,000 an episode for his portrayal of Walden Schmidt in the popular “Two and a Half Men” sitcom, and rakes in over $6 million a year from smart technology investments like Skype. In addition, he obtains royalties from various television shows and movies.

In 2005, when Kutcher married Moore, he was successful and even bought a Hollywood Hills home, but he had nowhere near the star power of his then-wife. Moore had $154 million in the bank, with almost another $80 million settlement from her ex-husband Bruce Willis, according to Daily Mail. To make sure her third spouse did not bankrupt her if the marriage dissolved, Moore’s lawyers drafted an ironclad prenuptial agreement.

“With a prenuptial agreement, Ashton should be sitting pretty,” said the source. “These agreements are designed to protect one’s earnings during the marriage as well as one’s prenuptial assets.”

Moore’s affluence means there is little chance of her needing a settlement for financial reasons. According to the source, it is more likely that she simply wants Kutcher to learn his lesson.

“She is going to give him a bitter fight and, whether she wins, it will be an expensive lesson for him,” said the informant.
